Based on the futures, which is suggesting the Dow could open up 200 points today — this is going to be another interesting day to see how the market performs on the heels of the Dow sliding 444.99 yesterday.
The Dow had company in its descent yeserday, with the S&P losing 6.7 percent.
In other news, the Wall Street Journal is reporting this morning that Fannie & Freddie are halting foreclosures over the holidays while they decide which of those mortgages may qualify for their loan modification program.
The Journal also has a story indicating Citgroup, whose stock took a 26 percent nosedive yesterday, may be considering auctioning off pieces of the company, or even possibly selling itself outright.
Just remember the usual disclaimer: Don’t base any of your investment decisions on anything you read here. Do your own due diligence, or at least enough research to hire the right professional to do it for you.
