Be careful, newbies

With the market riding high today — it’s time to issue a warning to any newbies on this site:
Do not — repeat — do not make the mistake of thinking we just turned from a bear to a bull market overnight.
We didn’t.
Tread very carefully — and keep this advice in mind:
While many investors new to the market will be rushing in to snatch up companies in hopes of getting in at a low while the market is rebounding — those of us who have followed the market for a while will be using this opportunity to unload shares of stocks that got beaten up on this momentary blip.
There are going to be lots of hills and valleys in this market, and the last thing you want to do is to buy on a blip and then watch your stock continue to descend for weeks and months to come.
Added to my “doing due diligence on” list this week is Johnson & Johnson.
Just remember: Don’t base any of your investment decisions on anything you read here. Do your own due diligence regarding your investments — or at least enough research to find the right professional to handle the investing for you.

  1. I’m just starting to learn about investments and someone recommended this site, and I’m glad they did. Lots of useful info here. I’ll keep coming back.
