Breaking news on the General Dynamics front this morning

5:55 AM – TUESDAY — Oil traders all over the world are likely breathing a hardy sigh of relief this morning on news that Hurricane Fay is predicted to miss the energy-producing areas off the coast of Florida.
Speaking of oil, it broke below $112 yesterday, closing at $111.82. The question is… will it keep coming down and break that magic $100 number?
In other news….
I’m finding it interesting — and encouraging for the overall market — that despite Fannie and Freddie tanking lately, the dollar’s holding its own. The Wall Street Journal has a story on the Fannie & Freddie nosedive.
The homepage of the Wall Street Journal has a red-alert breaking story that General Dynamics has agreed to acquire Jet Aviation for around $2.25 billion in cash. The alert indicates they’ll post the full story shortly.
A quick look at the futures indicates they’re trading lower.
And I expect lots of eyes on the street will be watching for Home Depot’s report before the morning bell.
Make it a great trading day….
But remember: Don’t base any of your investment decisions on anything you read on my little site — do your own due diligence — or at least enough research to hire the right professional to do the investing for you.
