Hewlett-Packard Making A Move on Electronic Data Systems

According to The New York Times, Hewlett-Packard may be in the final stages of negotiations to acquire Electronic Data Systems for $12.6 billion in cash. While the story indicates Hewlett’s board is planning to meet this morning, it also points out that some cautioned the deal’s not done until it’s done — meaning there is always the possibility of the deal being postponed or simply collapsing.
 
All the same, I think I’ll head over to my CNBC Millionaire Portfolio game and snatch-up some EDS…
